The Church

Find out more about our Church family:

“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.”

Romans 12:4-5 (NLT)

What is a Church?  The Church is not a building but rather a group of people with a common aim of worshiping God.  Christians often refer to the Church as a family or body and these metaphors help us understand better that each member of this body/family has a responsibility to take care of and support the rest of the Church, both physically and spiritually.

Being part of a Church is important because we all need people to help us through life and to spur us on to continue following God. Although we are not perfect people and have our differences of opinion from time to time, we as a Church strive to be a family that encourages each other to love God and the type of family where His love is evident in our relationships with one another.

We do this through our three services on Sunday, the student and youth ministries, through cell groups in the English and Mandarin congregations and Bible studies and Adult Sunday School in the Cantonese congregation.

There are various small groups in the church that tend to meet during the week, some for prayer and some for Bible study and mutual care.

The Regular activities page gives the latest update on these activities that are held throughout Merseyside and not just in the church, if you are interested in any of the small groups, contact the pastor or the elder and he will give you the details.
