Our English Congregation meets every Sunday at 11 a.m.
Though ages range between 18 and 80, the majority of our members are young professional adults or young families. We are an evangelical church, meaning we believe in being “born again” or conversion, through repentance and determination to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The gospel of Christ is central to our beliefs, emphasising the need for a relationship with God through Christ and it is our desire to share it with anyone who will listen.
Originally we only had a Cantonese Congregation, and services were translated each Sunday from English to Cantonese or vice versa.
As the membership grew, we realised that there was a need to have separate services in English and Cantonese, particularly to cater for students and that started to attend our church and for the second generation Chinese, who much preferred to communicate and worship God in English.
In 2004, seeing the great number of mainland Chinese in Liverpool we started the Mandarin Congregation.
